Did anyone else used to love Mew Mew Power? I did, I'm actually glad MMP was made because otherwise I would never have found TMM!
Ah, those were the days! Watching half of a Mew Mew Power episode before school and coming back to watch the rest. (I need a life!)

For me, I read the manga a whole year before 4Kids dubbed the anime into English and I saw the Japanese episodes too. When I first saw the preview for it, I was pretty shocked and kind of mad. My teachers were fans too and I showed them. One of them was a Quiche fan and she didn't like what they did to him XDD. Another was a Aoyama fan and she hated his English voice.
But it was a Mew Mew dub and as a collector, I had to have it. But over the years, and especially now since 4Kids lost the rights, I've learned to like it for what it is. I don't look at it as a dub, but more of an alternative retelling - a sort of "what if" story(if the show took place in the USA or what if the main characters were American teens?).
I keep this dub and wait for the day(which may never come) that it'll get a redub. If fans still complain. I'll show them this version and show that they have no right to do so XDD.

i used to love it, but the contrast ruined it. and hika-chan's right. maybe they will earn back the rights to redub tokyo mew mew. who knows? i hope 4kids will rate all anime pg 13. so they won't lose every right to dub and heavily edit previously made anime, like pretty cure (which 4kids gained the rights to dub it, but never aired it T^T) or even japan would've gave tokyo mew mew to adv (like azumanga daioh.) or ocean group (like ranma 1/2 and powerpuff girls z) so that they would be lightly edited and still aired. so i think there might be a 25% chance that 4kids will earn back the rights. and make..... *tears up a bit* and make the contrast to normal. *gasps* excuse me. *runs off crying slightly* ;______; Attachments:

My friend loved Mew Mew Power, but she has never seen the original. I can like it for the show that it is. And for some edits, I can respect the changes. I know, you might call me crazy because of it, but I think they did it to keep from people being bias. Though a lot were pointless. It was the first anime I watched, and I don't know if I ever would have liked anime if it weren't for this.

I used to love it but then I found TMM and was livid at 4Kids for what they did to it

Yes I do, but sadly, I never, never in my life, watched it or have seen it. But I do love Mew Mew Power along with Tokyo Mew Mew too.

N.O. Absolutely not! That's probably cause I watched some of the clips from TMM, though. That reminds me, most other dubs of TMM actually dubbed MMP... I wonder why... maybe they were just plain lazy XD -shot-

It could've been a number of reasons, buying the English dub is a lot cheaper than buying the original for one thing. Or it could be the fact that English was easier for them to translate. But not all MMP dubs were that bad. The French version took the English dub and not only made it better, they actually finished the series. The Hebrew dub took the English dub, gave the characters back their original names, and gave it the original title, Tokyo Mew Mew and finished the series as well.

Good luck. I've looked everywhere(even the Hebrew google servers). No one's ever put them up. I know someone who has one episode but she's refused to let me have it.

I doubt you've looked everywhere. Even I have my own sources(I got special websites that most people don't know about XD They're not very popular). I'll go check later after my attention span rises (just woke up...)

Good news for you, MewRasberryRuby. Someone has told me that they'll be uploading the Hebrew dub of episodes 27-52. I just got 27 off the Israel streaming site flix.co.il . You'll have type the title in Hebrew to find it. It's kind of hard for me to give it a good review unless I can get episodes of the first half of the season as well. Since it took a while for them to get the 2nd half from the Japanese, some of the VAs had to be replaced. In an official page, they list the cast changes to Purin, Ryou and Keiichiro. But from what I can tell by the Mew Aqua Hebrew clip I got, it sounds like Kisshu's voice was changed too(It's deeper and less flamboyant in season 2).
One jaring thing about the Hebrew dub is that they made a common mistake that a lot of fans do. They pronounced Ryou's name as Rye-yoh XD. I don't blame them since I've heard that they had fans tell them the names of the originals since they didn't have the Japanese version at that time for reference but fans shouldn't have an excuse. It's like they don't even hear how the other characters(especially English-speaking character Mary McGuire) pronouncing it as Ree-yoh.

I watched MMP when it was on 4Kids TV. I taped every episode that aired, and I still have the tapes! I also bought Vol. 1 of the manga and loved it (I literally slept with it the night I bought it!), but then I watched TMM in Japanese with English subs, and loved it too. I still haven't seen the remaining 3 MMP episodes that didn't air in NA. I like it for what it is. It was super popular on 4Kids TV, and many of my friends in school watched it. I still enjoy watching it as a blast to the past!
BTW many countries got MMP instead of TMM because 4Kids licensed the broadcasting rights for many countries, and distributed it internationally. None of the licensing companies in those countries were able to license TMM.

My MewMewInternational has all 26 English episode and the main website has all of them for download. I'm also in the process of getting the rest of the series subtitled from the French version so MMP fans will know how it ends without them suddenly having to switch to the Japanese names and such.
