Here you can discuss the Mew Mew Korean dub, Berry Berry Mew Mew. For those of you who can't seem to comprehend, Berry from A la Mode is NOT in this. The reason why they call it that is because they changed Ichigo's name to Berry and Berry Berry Mew Mew is the name of the team!
Anyways, you can watch a few episodes of this dub on my MewMewInternational Youtube account(Sorry for some quality issues. The Korean dub only had a VHS release).
Part 1 of Episode 1:
Just so you know, this dub was very localized. They changed the setting to Seoul, South Korea(Tokyo Tower was changed to their equivilant, Namsan Tower) and all the characters have Korean names, but the food naming remains intact(there is some debate about Zakuro being renamed Ruby but a lot of people think that it still makes sense due to the inside of pomegranates looking like rubies).
There were a few cuts and edits to this dub as well. All on screen kissing is cut(but the characters still say that they kissed so it was not like it was cut completely)except when the characters were in animal form, the Japanese writing was replaced with Korean(which is a lot better than 4Kids erasing it and leaving in blank in my opinion XD) and there were times when Kisshu's pants were raised up due to people thinking the lines on his stomach were crotch lines XD. The blood on him in episode 39 was also erased and the freaky Chimera in episode 51 had some of her details erased(but she was still nude).
But despite all these changes, and the fact that this dub was made for a 5-year old demographic, none of the lines were dumbed down and they kept all of the series moments intact, episode 51 included.
To me, this is a perfect example of dubbing a show for kids and doing it right.
